We accept both vision and medical insurance. This can sometimes be a bit tricky for patients. Let's simplify it.
Vision Insurance
This is for the routine eye exam or annual checkup. This is the insurance that gives you an allocated amount of money for glasses and routine ocular health examinations.
We accept most major vision plans like Vision Service Plan (VSP), Eyemed, Envolve, Medicaid and Medicare. If you're unsure if we accept your insurance, give us a call and our staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Now, let's say you have a red eye...
Medical Insurance
Medical insurance is used to bill if you have a sudden red eye, infection, eye pain, discharge or any atypical new symptoms such as flashes of light or sudden loss of vision. This is also the insurance we bill if you are experiencing an ocular emergency, such as a scratch to the eye, foreign body, or chemical burn.
We accept most of the following medical insurances: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Medicare and Medicaid.
